I have always found this clip very interesting:


Despite this piece being made some circa 10 years ago, there is still such little information made available to the public about domestic violence against men. Why? Are people concerned about going against what they believe to be the correct social stereotypes?


Why is there not enough funding for a refuge for men?


“Men aged between 20-24 are just as likely to be victims of domestic abuse as women in the same age group. But more and more of them are coming forward. So, is that a sign that women are becoming more violent?”


No, it is a sign that it has just been swept under the carpet and unreported.


Why can we not finally focus on behaviour and remove gender from the equation?
