How are the two connected? I hear you ask.

Well, Khloe Kardashian famously included a clause stating that she wants her nails done weekly, even if she is in a coma.

It might sound surprising, but it is entirely possible to include personal preferences and specific instructions like this within a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA).

An LPA is a legal document that allows you to appoint one or more trusted individuals (known as Attorneys) to make decisions on your behalf, or to help you make decisions, in the event that you are no longer able to do so yourself.

There are two types of LPA:

  • Health & Welfare

  • Property & Financial Affairs

You have the option to include instructions or preferences within the document, though you're not obliged to. Doing so provides your Attorneys with clear guidance about how you would like them to act on your behalf.

So yes, if having your nails done regularly is important to you, you can absolutely include that in your Health & Welfare LPA. And now that Khloe’s mentioned it… come to think of it, I wouldn’t want to wake from a coma with bad nails either!

Next steps:

  1. Make a list of what you would like included in your LPAs.

  2. Book a meeting with me, and let's make it official.

    See you soon!
